Romantic Garden Party in Montana
Summer
We fell in love while exploring and enjoying one of the most beautiful cities in the world. We would spend mornings cycling up the hills of Marin County, afternoons sitting outside a cafe in Sausalito sipping on coffee and sharing a pastry, evenings walking Charlie along Chrissy Field Beach as the sun set over the Golden Gate, and nights indulging in the most delectable wine and food San Francisco has to offer. How could you not fall madly and deeply in love? While the city gave us the backdrop for our love story, the pandemic provided us the challenge to solidify our commitment to one another. We shared a 900 sq. ft. one bedroom condo for 9 months of quarantine. Through the pandemic we leaned on each other for laughs, companionship, exercise challenges and a Netflix partner-in-crime. It was a no-brainer when he proposed that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with this man. If he could get me to see the bright side of spending months under lockdown, then he and I could thrive in life together forever.
The intimacy of the event! While planning a Covid wedding, during the height of Covid, we knew we needed to take precautions in our plan. We decided to share an intimate wedding with our closest family and friends. Just about 50 guests, our pup, and the backdrop of Montana. We love that our closet people will be able to sit at one large table together under the moonlight and candlelight while surrounded by the florals and greenery we so love in California. Pampas grass, eucalyptus, and garden roses will cover the arbors and tabletops while our guests sip on spicy margaritas and California Pinot Noir. It is a backyard wedding and it will feel like one because everyone will be able to spend time together, and with us!
Well, have you ever heard "break a leg" before a big event? We decided to take that and turn it into reality when Steph's mom broke her leg the morning of the wedding. It was a day to remember for so many reasons, but watching the entire wedding party come together to ensure that Patti (Steph's mom) was included in every moment, even from her hospital bed, was truly magical. As the speeches rolled throughout dinner, a common theme arose, where the person speaking would wrap up their speech with a toast to the happy couple and then a toast to Patti. Before long, the entire tent was chanting "Patti! Patti!" and a whole lot of toasts were consumed. It was no surprise that the dance floor was the spot to be on the wedding night. RMF Entertainment absolutely killed it at the DJ booth, and we had guests dancing until 2am with silent disco headsets on. No one wanted to leave - it was one big family getting to spend time together and dancing the night away.
Mum's Florals designed our wedding flowers! You will see a ton of California inspiration from the pampas grass to the garden roses and eucalyptus. The arbors were designed by my sister in law, a San Francisco artist with an architecture background!
I had a vision to turn the tent into a secret garden which included over 60 feet of arbors that needed to be built to cover the tables. The entire family came together to "raise the arbor" which was an 8 hour affair, but was worth it when Mum's came in with the most beautiful greenery installations, and Jennifer Mooney events set up the 300+ candles. The tent was transformed into a glittering, candle-lit garden that felt like the most intimate dinner party you could imagine.
Jennifer and her team were beyond amazing.
Jennifer understood our vision from the very first phone call and was able to provide the very best recommendations of vendors to partner with for our wedding day. Every detail was attended to and every nerve was soothed. Her photography was jaw dropping. We continue to receive compliments from our guests on how beautiful the wedding was and we get to re-live the weekend through our gallery from Jennifer. We cannot recommend working with her enough!
