Because love brings out the best in us, and the best of everything in the world. 10 years ago, I photographed my first wedding as a bridesmaid for my brother’s wedding I was in a 20,000 square foot Italian Mansion at a California winery overlooking the San Francisco Bay Area. Music was playing so the whole house could hear as the entire family was busily getting the wedding ready. Then Sting's "Desert Rose" came on - it was a moment that escalated into a momentum of passion wrapped up inside me. It was this experience, that in truth brought out something amazing & inspiring in me. I was still in photography school and went back and changed the direction of my photography path. I thought I was going to travel, write a book & become a documentary photographer. I have been a wedding photographer ever since!

Why do you love, love?

My parents - I love that my school was a life of experiencing. I was homeschooled, it’s a very valuable part to how I see the world and how I approach it. My parents raised my siblings & I very out of the box. They would always teach us key things like “follow your heart not the norm”, “when you don’t have peace, stop” “give your best, no matter what,” and instead of always having us learn through a text book, they gave us experiences. This included travel, helping in the kitchen, designing a website, and learning to play the piano by ear instead of by looking at a note. This basis of learning is what I apply in every part of my life, career and extend to my clients.

We most definitely have helpful resources & help guide you with this! If needed we will communicate with the permit rangers regarding your elopement location. We also have planning services to help further! Things like marriage licenses must be obtained by the couple in the State of Montana!

Do you typically help with obtaining the marriage license or permitting (if needed)?

The excitement and anticipation of seeing your captured memories! We love getting you immediate previews! Within 24 hours guaranteed - we will get you a preview of your wedding day! You want that “thank you” picture, or the picture with your grandma, you bet! Ask us and we’ll send it over asap! Turn around time for our full beautiful fine art galleries are 6-10 weeks during our peak months (May-October) and 2-6 weeks during non-peak months (November-April).

There are some questions on why it takes so long, and here’s why: I LOVE WHAT I DO & I want to give you my best quality product possible! And to ensure I can give you the best quality end heirloom images - I not only have an editor who helps with my editing style, but I don’t let one image leave my editing space without my wholehearted approval. Rest, family time & healthy exercise are vital for consistent quality delivery to my clients during our peak season, and though I’ve currently never gone past the 8 week mark (knock on wood! - but I will certainly be in touch with you if so!) - I have given myself this window, to ensure I don’t cut quality of our service by cutting the quality of life (something I’m deeply passionate about)!

All my clients receive their wedding images in an online gallery to be able to download & print themselves. All my clients from 10 years ago still have their galleries online & available! I leave them up and because I know the fear of loss in our digital age, they stay. Images are delivered edited high resolution, you get a print release to be able to print yourselves, as well as access to our professional print shop to shop wholesale heirloom professional prints. (If you haven’t purchased the digital negatives due to a portrait collection you chose, this doesn’t apply.) Some packages include a custom USB, and this can also be an add on to any collection.

Is there a difference in weekend price vs weekday?

There is no set amount of photos I deliver to my clients. I provide you with multiple copies of different poses for you to choose through according to what you like. I remove duplicates, blinking, & out of focus. Your amount of photos could depend on the experience you choose (wedding, elopement, full weekend coverage, day-after, hiking, engagement, getting ready, details, pre-day before shoot, how many family, friends, details etc.) Feel free to inquire to see full galleries of what experience you’re interested in!

How many photos will we receive?

Yes, all of this is included with all my packaging - and as a bonus, because I am a wedding planner as well, I offer planning service add-ons to help you with further planning needs!

Do you assist with logistics, timeline, scouting for the best photos, and referrals for other vendors ex. floral, officiant, hair/makeup?

Do you have packages with a day before/after adventure session?

With prior experience 12 years ago having lost photos taken of me, it's been absolutely my #1 goal to backup images, over and over again. When I went to photography school in 2010, we went over and over this, and it is hard core part of my workflow! On our cameras we shoot to 2 cards at once (backing up images), and once we get home from your event we are backing up your photos to 2 external harddrives, and then into an online cloud. I currently own 4 cameras: (2) 5DMark3 Canon, Fuji xt-2, and 7D Canon. We are always having fun renting new gear and experimenting with new lenses as well! My second photographer (usually Katherine) also has 2 cameras she brings to every wedding: 5dMark4 & 5dMark2!
