1. How much do you want to invest in your elopement?

Eloping helps maximize every couples wedding investment to be able to have their dream wedding, with everything quality you have imagined. Truly, the sky is the limit. “Elopements” or mere “Intimate Weddings” have become extremely popular as of late, because many couples have prioritized their investment into the destination, photography, videography & the intimacy of sharing this incredible day, with just themselves or with a group of people. Many of my couples will still go home and throw a fun reception, but with a complete low pressure budget and timeline!

2. What matters the most to you for your wedding?

This is something to sit and consider for a moment. In the end, what do you want to remember? Then from there, make your plans, everything else will work out, but prioritize everything around: what matters most!

3. What date do you want to get married?

Sometimes your wedding date matters a lot, sometimes it matters little. Dates can be prior anniversaries, first dates, a memory of a loved one… and sometimes your date just becomes what it becomes. But is this important to you? If it is, work everything around this!

4. How do you want to feel on your wedding day?

Wedding planning, elopement planning - it doesn’t matter the size, it can get stressful. Sit and think, how do you want to feel on your wedding day… then as you go forward with your wedding/elopement plans, always come back to this feeling and no matter when things get out of control, or when something tiny goes wrong - remember it doesn’t matter. It’s your wedding day to the love of your life!

5. What type of weather do you prefer?

When planning an elopement, outdoors, in nature, weather is certainly unpredictable - but there are times of year that you can plan accordingly to standard records. Do you prefer that brisk & cool with a slight warming sun? Maybe fall is for you! Do you love the magic of snow? Well we know the answer to that! Do you love the warmth of hot summer days and nights? Or maybe the crisp air of spring, smelling the fresh green grass & seeing the snow peaked mountains…. Make your day all about you and what you love!

6. What type of scenery speaks to you the most?

This might be the easy part, but pouring through images and galleries, you’ll usually know what you connect with most, mountain peaks, top of the world feeling, rivers, waterfalls, snow peaks, golden fall… it’s endless, but it plays one more role in what, where & when you choose!

7. Will you be inviting any guests?

This is actually one of your key decisions to where you can get married! And yes, you can have a few family & friends and still call it an elopement! We suggest less than 10, but industry standard includes up to 25!

8. What vendors are most important for you to have on your wedding day?

In the state of Montana, anyone can marry you. Some prefer to do their own hair & makeup. Some couples want fresh flowers, while other love wood flowers. How important is having videography? Do you have a reception back home that you want to show your video of your elopement? What type of photography speaks to you? How important are the images you get from your wedding day? Consider all of these things, as the vendors you may want & need could already be booked on a date you are considering.

ENGAGEMENT

the

With your wedding day as the big experience, an engagement session is our first venture together to work out all the nerves! Since most of us don't necessarily love being photographed, I welcome this session as the perfect opportunity to work together prior to your wedding day. Many of my couples share their anxiety about being photographed - sometimes for the first time together professionally. I completely understand and relate! (You should ask every photographer who’s photographed me!)

However what my couples love about this session - is the relaxation that happens for them. I give you direction & help guide you to capture real connection & ways to feel completely relaxed. I have so much fun with my couples during their engagement sessions, it feels like a perfect date night for my couples! This fun & intimate session will give us both insight on what to look forward to on your wedding day!

Nothing can put into words how incredible Adventure Sessions are added to your wedding day.
Adventure Sessions are when couples want to venture into gorgeous scenery & locations to get their professional images done on a separate day before or after their wedding day. This ensures that their time on the wedding day is focused on their wedding and their guests. It is the epic event you've anticipated and planned meticulously and you have a few hours with your guests...

This is a wonderful option to help alleviate the stress of taking time for photos while entertaining your guests that have traveled so far on your wedding day.

This dress that maybe you've dreamed of wearing your whole life, or this person that you've waiting for a while to marry - it's this experience that enables the the couple the most most time and incredible locations to be able to have the epic photographs they cherish.

This is a 2-3 hour (or all day - depending where you want to venture!) experience that I'd highly recommend to make your wedding day focused on your guests and cherishing Glacier National Park in an incredible way!

This is the time of day that we call the "story telling" layout for your wedding day.

For months you've spent countless hours planning & preparing your wedding day details.

During this time we capture the....
GETTING READY, FLOWERS, SHOES, JEWELRY & YOUR WEDDING DRESS

TIP: One of the things that throws your timeline off is waiting for all the girls to get their hair and makeup done for the fun "robe shot."  While this is such a fun capture, keep this in mind when planning out your hair & makeup timeline. You don't want your entire timeline set off for this photo.

A modern tradition when the bride and groom see each other before the wedding.

For those that chose to have a first look, this is one of the most romantic moments between you two, when you are alone and see each other for the first time on your wedding day.

The first look is one of the most emotional, and wonderful moments of your entire wedding. It relaxes the both of you so much more. It is right before you are about to take your vows of love to each other, and right before the swarm of people - he sees her in the dress of her dreams - his breath is taken away, and - no people, no distractions. It is at this point, that, I as your photographer leaves, while you both can cherish, & share some moments alone. It is a modern tradition for the groom to see the bride before the actual ceremony - but a modern twist that I believe is essential, unforgettable & unrepeatable.

After you both have had your moments together, is when we'll capture your "Bride & Groom" Portraits.

A few other reasons why the first look is so wonderful:

01.  Time Alone
02.  Your hair and makeup is best
03.  You can attend your cocktail hour

The biggest question: Will he have the same reaction when I come down the aisle? Yes! In fact, I've seen both much more fully aware of the ceremony that's happening in front of many people, and the couples are much more calm.

Seeing each other alone before hand is a much more natural and genuine interaction. This gives you both a chance to say what you're thinking, the day, and a great way to calm your nerves.

"Next are all your family images - your parents, grandparents, aunt, uncles, cousins - the ones you haven't seen in a while, or haven't got all in one picture in a long time or ever. A very important session - that many will want copies of.

You give us the list, and we're checking it off! Now if you have a first look, you can choose to also do family photos before the ceremony. This is usually a 30 minute session, and can also be done after the ceremony. The plus to family photos before the ceremony is the time that you can spend with your guests immediately after the ceremony, but is just as easily done without too much interruption after the ceremony!

You've got the classic images of some of the most memorable moments - where she's walking down the aisle - it's your first kiss as husband & wife - your mother's tearing up - classics, yet so treasured & some of the most wonderful photo-journalistic images captured!

This is when it is really necessary to have two photographers!

These are the fun shots - my personal favorite is the first dance - the love you see between two as they dance as husband & wife for the first time - it's an experience that not only I share in the emotion of the your moment, but capturing it with my lens - for your keepsake.
