With your wedding day as the big experience, an engagement session is our first venture together to work out all the nerves! Since most of us don't necessarily love being photographed, I welcome this session as the perfect opportunity to work together prior to your wedding day. Many of my couples share their anxiety about being photographed - sometimes for the first time together professionally. I completely understand and relate! (You should ask every photographer who’s photographed me!)
However what my couples love about this session - is the relaxation that happens for them. I give you direction & help guide you to capture real connection & ways to feel completely relaxed. I have so much fun with my couples during their engagement sessions, it feels like a perfect date night for my couples! This fun & intimate session will give us both insight on what to look forward to on your wedding day!
Nothing can put into words how incredible Adventure Sessions are added to your wedding day.
Adventure Sessions are when couples want to venture into gorgeous scenery & locations to get their professional images done on a separate day before or after their wedding day. This ensures that their time on the wedding day is focused on their wedding and their guests. It is the epic event you've anticipated and planned meticulously and you have a few hours with your guests...
This is a wonderful option to help alleviate the stress of taking time for photos while entertaining your guests that have traveled so far on your wedding day.
This dress that maybe you've dreamed of wearing your whole life, or this person that you've waiting for a while to marry - it's this experience that enables the the couple the most most time and incredible locations to be able to have the epic photographs they cherish.
This is a 2-3 hour (or all day - depending where you want to venture!) experience that I'd highly recommend to make your wedding day focused on your guests and cherishing Glacier National Park in an incredible way!

TIP: One of the things that throws your timeline off is waiting for all the girls to get their hair and makeup done for the fun "robe shot." While this is such a fun capture, keep this in mind when planning out your hair & makeup timeline. You don't want your entire timeline set off for this photo.

A modern tradition when the bride and groom see each other before the wedding.
For those that chose to have a first look, this is one of the most special moments between you two, to have some alone time on your wedding day and share in this moment intimately.
The first look is can be one of the most emotional, and wonderful moments of your entire wedding day - and the benefits of it being done privately before the crowd is that it relaxes the both of you so much more before the swarm of people - no people, no distractions.
During this moment, I typically give my couple as long as needed to just take this moment in, without interruption and stand further off.
It is a modern tradition for the groom to see the bride before the actual ceremony - but a modern twist that I believe is still special, unforgettable & unrepeatable.
After you both have had your moments together, is when we'll capture your "Bride & Groom" Portraits.

The biggest question: Will he have the same reaction when I come down the aisle? Yes! In fact, I've seen both much more fully aware of the ceremony that's happening in front of many people, and the couples are much more calm.
Seeing each other alone before hand is a much more natural and genuine interaction. This gives you both a chance to say what you're thinking, the day, and a great way to calm your nerves.

"Next are all your family images - your parents, grandparents, aunt, uncles, cousins - the ones you haven't seen in a while, or haven't got all in one picture in a long time or ever. A very important session - that many will want copies of.
You give us the list, and we're checking it off! Now if you have a first look, you can choose to also do family photos before the ceremony. This is usually a 30 minute session, and can also be done after the ceremony. The plus to family photos before the ceremony is the time that you can spend with your guests immediately after the ceremony, but is just as easily done without too much interruption after the ceremony!

You've got the classic images of some of the most memorable moments - where she's walking down the aisle - it's your first kiss as husband & wife - your mother's tearing up - classics, yet so treasured & some of the most wonderful photo-journalistic images captured!
